GCJ Connally Electrical & Mechanical Services Ltd

The need to get things right first time, in an environmentally conscientious and safe manner is vital to successful electrical engineering companies such as CJ Connally Electrical & Mechanical Services Ltd. Feedback from some key clients had led the organisation to conclude that achieving UKAS accredited ISO9001, ISO14001 and OHSAS18001 certifications would be a valuable investment for the company to make. Through a trusted supplier they were introduced to, and subsequently appointed, Alpha Swanson to assist and guide them through this process.

The project to achieve these certifications commenced in earnest during August 2016, and following the standard Alpha Swanson approach of data collection and drafting of a fully bespoke and relevant integrated management system, the IMS was officially implemented in early October. Alpha Swanson performed the required internal auditing (using a member of staff who had had no involvement with the system development, to ensure impartiality requirements of the three standards were abided by) and guided the organisation through its inaugural management review, during the autumn of 2016. CJ Connally Electrical & Mechanical Services Ltd were then successfully recommended for certification on 1st February 2017.

Since then, Alpha Swanson has continued to work with CJ Connally Electrical Engineering Services, providing internal auditing, maintenance of the legal register, and coaching services, as well as provision of general advice. We also assisted the organisation rework the IMS, following a change to the company name and scope of registration, and guided them to a successful migration to ISO45001: 2018 at their renewal audit in the early Spring of 2020.
